From the Desert Resort Communities of Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, or La Quinta:
- Take the I-10 Freeway East
- Take the Monroe Street Exit (Exit #142)
- Turn LEFT (North) onto Monroe Street
- Go North on Monroe Street approximately 2.2 miles - you will go through one stop sign, past a housing development that is on both sides of the road, across a water canal, and up and over a levee. When you drop down on the back (North) side of the levee, you will see a Granite Construction plant about 1/4 mile ahead of you.
- About 1/8 mile before the Granite Construction gate, you will see a dirt road that goes off to the right (look for the yellow sign with red lettering there that reads "Coachella Valley Mounted Rangers" with an arrow pointing East at the beginning of the dirt road - that's where you want to turn right).
- Turn onto that dirt road and make an almost immediate left into the dirt parking lot. (If you get to the horse corral, you've gone too far. Please turn around and go back to the parking area).
- Your jeep and guide will meet you in the parking lot.
IMPORTANT: Please park in the designated area only - Do not go more than 1/8 of a mile down the dirt road without an escort as the sand gets very soft and it is easy to get stuck if you don't know where you are going.
CLOSEST STREET ADDRESS: 38-000 Monroe St, Indio, CA (This address is for Granite Construction which is just past our parking area. This is the closest physical address you can enter, however, if you are using a GPS unit to navigate or trying to look up the location on a map.

To get turn-by-turn directions from your hotel, click on the "Click here for a larger map" link above. That will bring you to Google Maps. The departure location will be indicated on the map by a blue marker. Right click on that blue marker and that will bring up a small menu. Select "Directions To Here" from the list and that will bring you to a Google Maps search screen. The ending location will aready be filled in for you. All you have to do is enter the address of your hotel or the hotel name and click "Get Directions". Once you've selected the right starting location, Google Maps will return turn by turn directions from your hotel.
